RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum position. Be among the first 25 applicants.

Location:

Charlotte, NC area. Floating within Region 1 facilities as needed; must be willing to float per region needs within scope of practice.

• Licensed for 457 beds
• Level 3 Trauma
• Stroke center of Excellence
• Bariatric center of Excellence
• Chest Pain Center

• Beds: 13 labor beds, 5 triage rooms

Average census of 9-10 patients daily.

• Labor & delivery and postpartum care for high risk antepartum, labor, and immediate postpartum patients
• Manage labor management, circulate cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage
• Resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management
• Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurses station
• EMR: EPIC; IV pumps:
  Alaris; med dispensing:
  Omnicell; monitors: GE; unit equipment:
  Monica Novii, Neptune
• Support within the Department: secretary (Mon-Fri 8-5); charge nurse 24/7; phlebotomy; IV/VAT team; RT 24/7; hospitalist 24/7; intensivist 24/7; OB physicians; anesthesia/CRNA team
• Floating within region facilities listed and within scope of practice; decline if not agreeable

Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)); may float to any facilities within region if needed

If floating mid-shift, traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock).

• Orientation: NEO; 2 days departmental
• Scheduling:
  Weekend rotation every other; no call required for travelers
• Holiday expectations:
  Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO:
  Up to 6 days off; must add time to end of contract if unable to meet contracted hours
• Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks
• Scrub color: hospital-provided green OR scrubs

• Minimum 2 years LDRP experience
• First-time traveler accepted

  RN license; CPR/BLS; ACLS; NRP; EFM; other position-specific requirements as applicable
