Overview
RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum position. Be among the first 25 applicants.
Location:
Charlotte, NC area. Floating within Region 1 facilities as needed; must be willing to float per region needs within scope of practice.

- Level 3 Trauma
- Stroke center of Excellence
- Bariatric center of Excellence
- Chest Pain Center
- Beds: 13 labor beds, 5 triage rooms
Average census of 9-10 patients daily.
Responsibilities / Duties- Labor & delivery and postpartum care for high risk antepartum, labor, and immediate postpartum patients
- Manage labor management, circulate cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage
- Resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management
- Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurses station
- EMR: EPIC; IV pumps:
Alaris; med dispensing:
Omnicell; monitors: GE; unit equipment:
Monica Novii, Neptune - Support within the Department: secretary (Mon-Fri 8-5); charge nurse 24/7; phlebotomy; IV/VAT team; RT 24/7; hospitalist 24/7; intensivist 24/7; OB physicians; anesthesia/CRNA team
- Floating within region facilities listed and within scope of practice; decline if not agreeable
Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)); may float to any facilities within region if needed
If floating mid-shift, traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock).
Orientation / Scheduling- Orientation: NEO; 2 days departmental
- Scheduling:
Weekend rotation every other; no call required for travelers - Holiday expectations:
Travelers will work 75% of holidays - RTO:
Up to 6 days off; must add time to end of contract if unable to meet contracted hours - Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks

Will be required to float per region needs to all facilities listed; will decline if not agreeable.
