Position: Front Desk Coordinator (PRN)

Front Desk Coordinator (PRN)

Med Quest Imaging welcomes qualified candidates to join our team as a Front Desk Coordinator (PRN). Located in multiple sites across the region, this role serves as the initial point of contact for patients, referring physicians, and the public, providing a welcoming and efficient experience.

Overview

The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for welcoming guests, checking patients in, answering and routing telephone calls, scheduling appointments, collecting balances at time of service, and performing general administrative duties to support the imaging center’s operations.

Responsibilities

  • Shift days:
    Monday – Friday (occasionally Saturday)
  • Shift hours:
    Variable, ranging from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Locations:
    Clemmons, Monroe, Hickory, Laurinburg, University, Shelby, Mooresville, Concord, Belmont, Gastonia, Indian Land, Fort Mill, Huntersville
  • Greet patients and family members, creating a comfortable environment
  • Check patients in and complete necessary documentation
  • Answer and route telephone calls appropriately
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Collect balances from patients on time of service
  • Perform additional front‑office duties as needed to keep the center running smoothly

Qualifications

  • High‑school diploma or equivalent

Prior Experience

  • 0–2+ years experience in customer‑service or hospitality environments

Special Qualifications

  • Strong customer‑service focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient use of computer systems
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience in a physician practice or medical office setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting
  • Medical records experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
