Position Summary

We are currently seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Medication Aide to join our healthcare team for the full-time 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to resident care and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Accurately document medication administration and report any variances or concerns to the supervising nurse.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' conditions or reactions to medications.
  • Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage, security, and disposal as per guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive resident care.
  • Educate residents and families about medications, potential side effects, and adherence to therapy plans.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain competency and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medication Aide required.
