Patient Coordinator

Overview

In this position, you will serve as the initial point of contact with patients, referring physicians, and the general public on the imaging center’s behalf. Your duties include welcoming patients and family members, making them feel comfortable, and anticipating and attending to their needs. The role also requires checking patients in, answering and routing telephone calls, scheduling appointments, collecting balances at the time of service, and performing other front‑office tasks as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0–2 years of experience in a customer support or hospitality role
• Strong customer service background and focus
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient and efficient computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience in a physician practice or medical office (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
• Prior patient collections experience in a medical setting (preferred)
• Medical records experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
