iA American Warranty Group is seeking a Benefits & Absence Advisor to play a key role in our North American benefits and absence operations.
Job DescriptionReporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will facilitate benefits and absence operational processes across Canada and the United States, support transversal projects, and play a specific role in mergers, acquisitions, and integration projects. This remote U.S.
-based position requires fluent French.
- Manage benefits-related transactions and Tier 2 inquiries in Workday.
- Coordinate leaves of absence and ADA accommodations with internal teams and third‑party administrators, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other regulations.
- Maintain proactive communication with employees and managers during leave periods to support smooth return‑to‑work transitions.
- Assist with annual processes such as Open Enrollment, 401(k) audits, and 1095C reporting.
- Ensure accurate employment records and handle confidential information in compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with HRIS and VPTC partners on benefits and absence‑related projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and system testing in Workday.
- Document and maintain procedures in the knowledge base to support operational integrity.
- Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to accuracy and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Fluency in French, supporting employees in both the U.S. and Canada.
- Advanced knowledge of benefits and absence processes in Canada and the U.S.
- Proficiency with Workday benefits and absence modules.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR operations focused on benefits and absence administration, including Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Associate degree from an accredited university.
- Flexibility to work during Eastern time zone hours.

The typical hiring range for this position starts at $65,000 per year; the base salary offered may vary based on experience and internal equity. iA is committed to a fair, equitable, market‑based compensation structure.
