Role PurposeThe responsibilities will consist of fundamental equipment and process improvements to support Optical Fiber Manufacturing through involvement on a few key projects and production support activities in a specific process area. Objectives for the production support and projects will be clearly laid out, and the work will be in a team environment of engineers, technicians, and operators. We are looking to have successful candidates start in January 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Work with support groups and production teams to coordinate and direct equipment installations, start-up, repair, troubleshooting, and process changes.
- Support preventative maintenance activities.
- Provide first, second, and third level troubleshooting of equipment/process issues.
- Troubleshooting and repair of Fanuc robots and automation PLC’s.
- Provide technical training for associates.
- Recommend improvements to process/equipment and drive equipment robustness.
- Leverage sound technical fundamentals to identify chronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to drive equipment/process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Technical curiosity and capability in discipline.
- Ability to build relationships, work in teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information.
- Strong desire to learn and improve upon technical abilities.
- Results oriented with a bias towards action and continuous improvement.
- Currently working towards an Associate’s degree in one of the following programs:
- Mechatronics
- Electrical Systems
- Electronics
- Mechanical
- Engineering Technologies

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
