The responsibilities will consist of fundamental equipment and process improvements to support Optical Fiber Manufacturing through involvement on a few key projects and production support activities in a specific process area. Objectives for the production support and projects will be clearly laid out, and the work will be in a team environment of engineers, technicians, and operators. We are looking to have successful candidates start in January 2026.

• Work with support groups and production teams to coordinate and direct equipment installations, start-up, repair, troubleshooting, and process changes.
• Support preventative maintenance activities.
• Provide first, second, and third level troubleshooting of equipment/process issues.
• Troubleshooting and repair of Fanuc robots and automation PLC’s.
• Provide technical training for associates.
• Recommend improvements to process/equipment and drive equipment robustness.
• Leverage sound technical fundamentals to identify chronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to drive equipment/process standardization and continuous improvement.

• Ability to build relationships, work in teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information.
• Strong desire to learn and improve upon technical abilities.
• Results oriented with a bias towards action and continuous improvement.

• Currently working towards an Associate’s degree in one of the following programs:
  • Mechatronics
  • Electrical Systems
  • Electronics
  • Mechanical
  • Engineering Technologies

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
