Position: RN (Registered Nurse) /LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Homecare Nurse

Overview

MGA Homecare has been providing Private Duty Nursing, Skilled Nursing Visits, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy services within the home and community-based setting for over a decade. In 2022 MGA has opened its doors to MGA Behavior Therapy which offers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and early behavior intervention for pediatric patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities within the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.

We aim to help our patients and their families by delivering high-quality clinical care in the comfort of their homes. Our goal is to make the lives of our patients and their families easier by demonstrating compassion and integrity at the heart of everything we do. By bringing individualized attention and support throughout every home. MGA Homecare is proudly serving the states of Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington, and are here to be a resource for patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to develop and update care plans
  • Provide direct patient care, including wound care, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication, and proper care techniques
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, and progress in electronic health records
  • Manage and organize daily visit schedules to maximize efficiency
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
  • Current RN license (Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing) or LPN license (completion of an accredited practical nursing program) in the state of practice
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical equipment and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and documentation
  • Experience in home health care preferred
  • Understanding of home health care regulations and best practices
  • Knowledge of common chronic conditions and their management
  • Ability to adapt to various patient populations and home environments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Additional certifications (e.g., IV therapy) may be required
