CVICU Registered Nurse - Concord, NC

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) expertise in Concord, NC. This contract role offers a challenging environment caring for critically ill cardiac patients in a state‑of‑the‑art teaching hospital recognized for its trauma and specialty care centers.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with STEMI, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and post‑cardiac surgery including CABG and valve procedures.
• Manage complex invasive devices such as arterial lines, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers, IABP, and Impella.
• Administer and monitor vasoactive medications and manage surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, and CRRT.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and IV/VAT support.
• Adhere to established protocols within a 14‑bed private‑room CVICU, maintaining nurse‑to‑patient ratios of 1:2.
• Participate in floating as needed throughout the regional facilities within the scope of practice.

• Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of critical care experience preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
• Proficiency in managing critical cardiovascular conditions and invasive device care.
• Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensers, and Phillips monitors.
• Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage expectations.
• Willingness to float within the designated regional hospitals as needed.
