Prince Telecom is currently hiring full-time Fiber Optic Field Technicians in the Charlotte, NC area! We provide paid training, full benefits & a company vehicle!

Pay: $16 - $22/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems.
• Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Install, setup and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers and switches.
• Perform testing on company issued devices and customer devices.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Complete paperwork accurately, and report/record work order status updates.
• Perform customer service duties by:
  • Greeting and interacting with customers in a professional courteous manner, including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns;
  • Reviewing all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement;
  • Educating the customer regarding product and service usage.

• Minimum 18 years old
• Valid U.S. driver s license
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship
• Must live within 60 miles of Charlotte, NC
• High school diploma or GED
• Comfortable working in tight spaces (crawl spaces or attics)
• Comfortable working in inclement weather
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective communication skills
• Able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80 lbs
