Position SummaryRole summary: The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, manages refrigeration units, and coordinates field teams to optimize system performance. The position requires detailed documentation, adherence to regulatory codes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements.
Additionally, the Senior Technician provides hands‑on training, supports critical service needs, and manages parts inventory and vendor relationships to maintain efficient facility operations.

- Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and building pneumatics.
- Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to ensure optimal system performance.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Manage refrigerant handling, inventory, and vendor relationships in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands‑on training and evaluating skill development.
- Participate in on‑call rotations to support critical business needs outside regular hours.
- Maintain company vehicles and ensure adherence to safety and operational policies.

- Strongdiagnosticandtroubleshootingskillsformechanical,electrical,andrefrigerantsystemsincommercialsettings.
- KnowledgeofOSHAstandards,EPArefrigeranthandlingprotocols,andcompliancewithfederal,state,andlocalHVAC/Rcodes.
- Experienceleadingfieldteams,mentoring technicians,andmanagingescalatedservicecalls.
- Abilitytomanagepartsinventory,vendor relationships,andcoordinateservicecallstomeetbusiness.
- Proficientindocumentingworkorders,maintenance logs,andsubmittingrequiredreportsaccurately.
