As a Python Developer with MongoDB in Concord, NC / Charlotte, NC via Racedog Technologies, you will serve as a principal technical authority responsible for engineering scalable backend applications and high-throughput document databases. Your daily responsibilities will encompass developing RESTful APIs in Python, optimizing MongoDB aggregation pipelines, implementing data caching layers, and ensuring database security and integrity. You will collaborate closely with data architects, frontend developers, and product managers.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend microservices and RESTful APIs utilizing Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
• Architect and optimize MongoDB database schemas, sharded clusters, aggregation pipelines, and indexing strategies.
• Build scalable data ingestion pipelines, ETL workflows, and asynchronous task queues using Celery and Redis.

• Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks in backend services and databases.

• Author comprehensive technical documentation, API specifications, and database schema runbooks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 12+ years of professional software development experience, with extensive specialized expertise in Python.
• Deep technical proficiency in MongoDB database architecture, aggregation frameworks, sharding, and performance optimization.
• Strong practical experience developing scalable web applications and microservices using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django).
• Solid working knowledge of asynchronous programming, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and caching layers (Redis).
