Utility Worker/Service Employee – Transdev North America, Concord, NC. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
Compensation and Benefits- $19.00 per hour starting wage for fully credentialed CDL holders
- $17.00 per hour starting wage for non-CDL holders
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating
- Other standard benefits: 401(k), medical, dental, and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary long-term disability
- Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
- Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
- Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
- Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes
- Perform light maintenance on shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
- Report maintenance issues to the supervisor
- Other duties as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions. 100% of the job is performed outside; work alone and in remote locations
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to 15 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
