Utility Worker

Utility Worker/Service Employee – Transdev North America, Concord, NC. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• $19.00 per hour starting wage for fully credentialed CDL holders
• $17.00 per hour starting wage for non-CDL holders

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

• Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
• Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
• Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
• Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes
• Perform light maintenance on shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Other duties as required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions. 100% of the job is performed outside; work alone and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 15 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
