We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our team in Concord, NC. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Position DetailsEmployment type:
Full-time
Benefits include: fixed route bus operator with eligibility for standard benefits per the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Salary / Training- Training: $18.71 – $23.92 (based on years of service and location)
- Compensation levels shown reflect the current CBA; actual amounts vary by contract and location
- Safety-Focused Operations:
Execute operations by following designated routes and schedules, maintaining safety protocols and traffic regulations. - Passenger Care:
Provide assistance to passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation. - Vehicle Vigilance:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness. - Adherence to Protocols:
Enforce seat belt use, follow emergency procedures, and comply with regulatory mandates. - Other duties as required
- 21 years or older
- Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable (49 CFR Part 40). No use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis
- Work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Sit for extended periods; stand and move as required during shifts
- Ability to push/pull up to 20 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Operate in high-traffic environments; tolerate dust, vehicle fumes and noise
