Airgas is hiring for a Counter Sales Associate/Backup CDL Route Driver in Concord, NC. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

• Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers.
• Assist customers through email, telephone, and walk-ins.
• Solicit sales from new and existing customers, managing related paperwork for future reference.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading cylinders and provide guidance on equipment use and needed materials.
• Monitor and maintain proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to minimize emergencies.
• Manage accounts receivable, discuss past-due accounts, and collect payments.
• Ensure accurate completion of paperwork, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Act as Backup Driver when necessary.
• Operate equipment like forklifts as required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL
• Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check
• DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers
• Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs, and occasionally 76 lbs and greater
• Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures
• Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace
• Adherence to safety regulations and policies

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience
• Touch freight delivery experience
