Overview
We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Paratransit Bus Operator to join our elite team in Concord, NC. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
CompensationPay rates are set under the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The compensation is organized by years of service (0-12 months, 13-24 months, 25-36 months, 37+ months) and varies by the service year. Specific dollar amounts are defined in the CBA and may change over time.

- Safely transporting passengers in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the service area.
- Assisting in the boarding of passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and properly securing wheelchairs and scooters.
- Have good communication skills
- Are at least 21 years old
- Have a valid driver’s license in good standing
- All applicants are subject to a physical and DOT drug testing. DOT regulation CRF Part 40 does not authorize the use of schedule 1 drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, and may involve working alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to file or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand exposure to heavy traffic areas and dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
