Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a progressive independent firm of accountants in Congleton, who are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected and growing firm of chartered accountants, playing an integral role in their continued success. As an Accounts Manager, you will work closely with the Directors and will manage a diverse portfolio of clients including small to medium limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from various sectors.

In addition to client management, you will oversee and assist in the development of junior staff, providing necessary support and reviewing their work.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA Qualified with strong and varied general practice experience. Excellent communication skills are essential to build and maintain successful relationships with multiple clients.

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients from various industry sectors.
• Supporting partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad hoc project work.
• Preparation and review of Statutory Accounts and Management Accounts.
• Preparation and review of tax computations and returns.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for an array of clients.
• Reviewing the work of junior staff, providing guidance and support as required.

• ACCA or ACA Qualified (QBE will also be considered)
• Essential practice experience.
• Experience reviewing work prepared by junior staff.
