Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Duration: Until Christmas 2026 in the first instance, with the potential for extension
Salary: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Congleton from September 2026
. This is a full-time position initially running until the Christmas break, with the possibility of being extended beyond this period.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire young learners and support their academic, social, and emotional development. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to make a positive impact within a well-established school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress effectively.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A commitment to raising standards and achieving positive outcomes for pupils.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
  • An enthusiastic and flexible approach to teaching.
