Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Fine Decor Wall coverings Ltd.

Location: Congleton, Cheshire

Salary: £21.01 per hour

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 days a week (Monday to Friday, 6am‑4pm or 8am‑6pm)

• Reactive and planned mechanical maintenance to printing presses, ancillary equipment and buildings.
• Mechanical and electrical fault‑finding.
• Support newly planned maintenance schedules.
• Help increase efficiencies within the plant.
• Maintain records and documentation.
• Ensure business complies with current legislation.
• Emergency plant repairs when necessary.

• Educational: HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Mechanical knowledge of pneumatics, diaphragm pumps, mechanical drives (chains, sprockets, gears, gearboxes, drive belts).
• Production line servicing experience.
• Excellent fault‑finding skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Good communication, organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong teamwork ethic.
• Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience with in a factory environment.

• PLC knowledge.
• Knowledge of printing and printing machinery.
