Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Fine Decor Wall coverings Ltd – Congleton, Cheshire

Job Type: Full time, Permanent. Salary: £21.01 per hour.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, 4 days out of 5 (Mon–Fri, either 6am–4pm or 8am–6pm).

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias. Joined by experienced electrical and mechanical engineers, the position includes reactive and planned maintenance of printing presses, ancillary equipment and buildings to support smooth plant operation.

• Reactive and planned maintenance
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding
• Work with newly planned maintenance schedules
• Help increase efficiencies within the plant
• Maintain records
• Ensure business complies with current legislation
• Emergency plant repairs when necessary

• HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Mechanical knowledge including pneumatics, diaphragm pumps, mechanical drives (chains, sprockets, gears, gearboxes, drive belts)
• Production line servicing
• Excellent fault finding skills
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Good communication, organisational and planning skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong teamwork ethic
• Ability to work under initiative and under pressure
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Experience with in a factory environment

• PLC knowledge
• Knowledge of printing and printing machinery
