Position Overview
As a Support Worker you will be supporting individuals with PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) and Mild Learning Disabilities. The role may include manual handling, medication administration, personal care, food preparation, household tasks, supporting individuals to keep in contact with family and friends, accessing the community and attending appointments. We provide support for daily living skills and help with socialisation.
The role is to promote the individual's independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of support.
- Provide person‑centred care and support to individuals with PMLD and Mild Learning Disabilities.
- Assist with medication administration and manual handling as required.
- Help with personal care, food preparation and household tasks.
- Support individuals to maintain contact with family and friends and participate in community activities.
- Attend appointments and assist with access to services.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity and respect for all supported individuals.
- Experience working as a Support Worker or in a similar supported living setting.
- Experience with individuals who have PMLD or similar learning disabilities (preferred).
- Qualifications in health and social care are desirable but not essential.
- Resilient, compassionate, kind and respectful attitude towards people with learning disabilities.

Pay & Benefits- Pay Rates: £12.90 weekdays, £13.20 weekend days.
- Free uniform and PPE.
- Paid by BACS every four weeks.
- Mileage Allowance for cars and bikes.
- Full and part‑time hours available.
- Free shadowing in the field and structured training for new starters.
- Training opportunities:
Care Certificate, Dementia, End of Life and other courses (training paid). - Reference/Refer a Friend payment (subject to conditions).
