Family Advisor - North Locality

If so, we have an exciting role that has become available to work within the Cheshire East Council Best Start in Life Family Hubs as Family Advisors (Navigators).
We have a full‑time (37 hours per week) and part‑time (22.2 hours per week) role available. The postholders will support the work of the Best Start in Life Family Hubs across the North of the Borough (Congleton, Holme Chapel, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Poynton & Disley). The family hubs support families with children 0‑19 (25 for young people with SEND).
Family hubs provide a universal ‘front door’ to families, offering a ‘one‑stop shop’ of family help services across social care, education, mental health and physical health needs, with a comprehensive offer for parents, children and young people at its core. This enables families to receive timely and appropriate information tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support families and their children aged 0–19 (or up to 25 for young people with SEND).
- Bring council, health and community services together so that families can access the right support at the right time.
- Collaborate with Family Hub teams to provide high‑quality, integrated support services.
- Perform administrative tasks such as booking rooms, appointments, data collection, entry and ordering of resources.
- Use a variety of ICT platforms on a daily basis to enter data and record transactions within our policies and procedures.
- Receive enquiries from members of the public and professionals via face‑to‑face, electronic and telephone channels and provide appropriate, consistent advice, signposting and guidance.
- Apply strong communication, organisation and customer service skills within a public service setting.
