Respiratory Care Assistant performs basic competencies within orientation and provides satisfactory respiratory care independently post-verification of education and completed competency, while incorporating the mission statement and standards of behavior of the hospital or care facility.
What You Will Do- Medicated aerosol delivery
- Airway clearance therapy
- Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG)
- Oxygen and humidity therapy
- Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients. Annual training and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
