Maintenance Technician

Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe systems and electrical systems. Follows PPE and safety requirements. Aware of company quality and environmental policy.

• Troubleshoot VFDs, Relays, Sensors, and PLC ladder logic, Control functions on multiple pieces of equipment to find root cause of failures.
• Troubleshoots basic electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems.
• Troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers, Relay Logic and Complex Hydraulic systems.
• Runs pipe, conduit and pulls wire.
• Changes pumps, motors and other mechanical problems.
• Performs preventive maintenance on all facilities, buildings and equipment as required. Answers break down calls.
• Responsible for assuring that product meets customer quality expectations, functional requirements, and process consistency by utilizing work instructions and servicing equipment for optimum uptime.
• Responsible for following lock-out tag-out and confined spaced policies/ procedures.
• Communicates all key events and information to supervisor to assure continuity in safety, quality and productivity
• Responsible for maintaining clean and safe work area / equipment.
• Aware of consequences to employee, customer and environment if procedures are not followed.
• All other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

• Required – High School diploma or GED or prior experience/training in manufacturing environment
• Required - Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, polices, and rules. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company. Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
  
  Must be able to stand, bend and stoop. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift up to 5 pounds.
• Preferred - extensive background in the industrial or manufacturing field.
• Preferred - experience with robotics and/or PLC knowledge

Noise may exceed 85db must wear hearing protection. Exposure to extreme heat.
Normal equipment used
Pneumatic tools, hand tools, saws, grinders and weld/torch equipment. Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required.
