Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep)

Location: New Canaan, CT (06840)

Employment Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week)

Schedule: M-Th, 2-7pm; flexibility with family schedules shift w/ school and kids' activities

Compensation: $37-$41/hour, based on experience

Requirements:

• Can maintain a smoke free environment
• Has reliable transportation
• Very comfortable around dogs
• Experience with children and family life is a plus
• Flexibility with seasonal schedules is valued (e.g., adjusting for family travel and shifting schedules for summer camps/activities)
• Ability to provide support in a busy, fast-moving household
• Tech-savvy (calendar and app-based coordination)

We are a warm and active family of five with three children (ages 10, 8, and
6) who are all in school full time. We also have a beloved 4-year-old golden retriever. Our home is lively, energetic, and anchored by a busy weekly rhythm of school, sports, and extracurricular activities. With multiple after-school activities and a spouse who travels frequently during the week, the household moves quickly and benefits from strong systems, structure, and support behind the scenes.

We've been fortunate to have long-term, deeply valued support in our home and hope to find someone who feels equally comfortable, trusted, and woven into the rhythm of our days. You have a strong eye for organization and take pride in keeping systems running smoothly, including managing a high volume of family laundry for a household with three children, maintaining tidy spaces, and ensuring the home feels refreshed and cared for each day.

You have a light footprint, meaning you are respectful of the family’s space, work independently, and seamlessly integrate into the household without disrupting its rhythm.

You are comfortable around children and can step in with light childcare or supervision as needed. You thrive in a role that blends household operations, organization, meal support, and family logistics. • Wash, dry, fold, organize, and put away family laundry with attention to detail (stain removal, special care).
