Project Manager

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

* Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation

* Prepare and manage project budgets; monitor costs and implement corrective actions when needed

* Lead project teams, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining strong communication and a Safety‑First culture aligned with OSHA standards

* Maintain strict quality control throughout all phases of construction

* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and internal leadership, providing consistent progress updates

* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies

* Prepare project status reports, change orders, and closeout documentation

Essential Skills

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

* 5+ years of experience managing heavy civil or marine construction projects

* Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and industry standards

* Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office

* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities

* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with DOT, municipal, or marine infrastructure projects

* 2+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction

* Experience managing projects valued at $15M+

* Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools

* Background in heavy civil, marine, highway, railroad, or foundation construction

* Preferred:
Experience in marine, open‑water, or shoreline construction

Work Environment

This position requires onsite presence five days per week at the corporate office, with occasional assignments at client locations as needed. The organization operates a large fabrication facility and maintains its own equipment fleet, supporting highly technical and complex construction projects. This is a Permanent position based out of Plantsville, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
