Software Project Engineer Intern; Summer Onsite

Work with the Project Engineering lead on the program to drive the program forward. Help track project tasks and follow up with team members to ensure timely closure. Partner with engineering, test, and manufacturing teams to support program execution. Participate in root cause analysis and resolution of complex hardware-software issues. Understand and utilize the appropriate Collins Aerospace processes and tools during product and software development, resulting in increased product quality and improving customer satisfaction.

You will work with an experienced team to learn best practices and Collins’ engineering processes for implementing world-class embedded solutions. You will get to work with cutting edge technologies developed both in-house and by external vendors. Set a foundation to improve your engineering skills and ability to resolve complex problems. Learn how requirements flow through design, test, and verification Exposure to aerospace certification, standards, or design reviews.

Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
