As an Advanced Hardware Value Engineer, you will drive the design and delivery of cost down initiatives without compromising quality, performance, or customer requirements. Working closely with engineering, and operations teams, you will analyze project specifications, optimize system designs, identify value-added alternatives, and support successful project execution.

Your role is key to improve competitiveness, and ensuring efficient project delivery.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Northford, CT location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
• 6+ years of experience in hardware design and development with a strong understanding of hardware design principles and methodologies
• Ability to assess engineering changes, evaluate component obsolescence impacts, and support the implementation of approved updates across projects and product portfolios
• Demonstrated experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., building automation, aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or industrial controls).
• Proven track record of driving cost reduction initiatives through BOM optimization, component rationalization, and production process improvements, delivering measurable savings.
• Experience in hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
