We are seeking an experienced Regional Finance Director to lead the financial strategy and operations for the Merchant Services Business within Euronet’s EFT Segment across Europe
. This role carries primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial activities in a highly regulated environment that includes e-money license holders, VISA/Master Card principal members, and payment service provider entities.
The position covers 20+ countries and involves direct oversight of core finance, operational finance, treasury, credit & risk, M&A modeling and due diligence, business case modeling, and pricing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Drive continuous evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Ensure credibility of the finance function through timely, accurate reporting and insightful analysis of budgets, trends, and forecasts.
- Develop and scale the finance organization to support accelerated growth, managing Shared Service Centers (Budapest) and finance teams across multiple countries.
- Oversee all aspects of Finance & Accounting for the Merchant Services Business.
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Advise on the financial impact of long-range planning, new programs, and regulatory changes.
- Build strong relationships with senior executives to identify needs and deliver comprehensive business solutions.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and identify growth opportunities.
- University degree in Accounting & Finance; an MBA is a plus.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA are highly valued.
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in high-volume, fast-paced industries (e.g., retail, telecom, financial services).
- Proven track record of managing finance across multiple countries (5+).
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
- EU work eligibility; relocation support available for non-Hungarian EU citizens.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 2–4 days per month).
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams across remote locations.
- Strong focus on controls, processes, and safeguarding company assets.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with sound judgment and timely decision-making.
- High integrity, dependability, and a results-driven approach.
