Job Overview:
This on-site System Reliability Engineer (SRE) position will play a significant role in supporting our AWS cloud infrastructure, which is being used to support the development and deployment of a SaaS platform that helps companies manage their employee benefits billing process. The system itself has multiple major functions, including bill consolidation, reconciliation, and payments processing. The candidate will be part of a small team initially, responsible for the infrastructure implementation, day to day operations, solving technical problems of comprehensive scope and complexity, and maintaining the security posture required for the HITRUST CSF Certification.
The position will also establish the cornerstone of our standards, procedures and documentation construction and maintenance for our enterprise. In addition, recognizing impediments to our organizational efficiency and proposing and implementing solutions will be value propositions that the successful candidate will be able to provide. There will also be elements of ITSM and IT support that this position will be responsible for in the areas of desktop support, local network administration, and Office
365 support.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Cloud Architecture & Lifecycle Management
- Professional experience in the design and management of an AWS infrastructure using core services including:
Cloud Front, VPC, EC2 (Windows/Linux), Elastic Beanstalk, Application Load Balancers, Lambda, Docker, RDS (SQL Server), and S3. Applying infrastructure-as-code and automation best practices to ensure consistency, repeatability, and compliance across SDLC environments using the AWS Well-Architected Framework

Monitoring & Observability
- Architected and implemented continuous monitoring solutions leveraging Amazon Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, and third-party platforms such as Splunk, Qualys, and Solar Winds. Ensure proactive detection, alerting, and remediation aligned with operational excellence and reliability pillars.

Security Hardening & Compliance
- Enforces rigorous OS-level security controls in accordance with CIS Benchmarks and NIST 800-53 standards. Proficient in Windows Server administration, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and Linux system hardening. Integrates IAM best practices and encryption strategies to safeguard data and access.
