About the OpportunityThe Tooling Coordinator supports manufacturing operations by managing tools at the primary manufacturing site and at an offsite storage facility. This includes company owned, customer owned, and US Government owned tooling. Tool sizes range from small templates to large die sets weighing up to several thousand pounds. The role requires protecting, preserving, and maintaining the property owner’s investment in compliance with FAR 52.245‑1, internal procedures, and customer specific requirements.
The facility is AS9100 and ISO
14001 certified. This position helps maintain those standards through accurate documentation and effective asset control. The role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Daily travel between both locations is required using a company vehicle. The pace of work varies from steady to reactive, and flexibility is valued to support occasional changes in workload or priorities.
This is a full time, first shift position based primarily at the offsite storage facility.

Responsibilities- Manage tooling at the primary manufacturing site and an offsite storage facility in accordance with FAR 52.245‑1, internal procedures, and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, tracking, preservation, and safe handling of all tooling.
- Maintain organization and inventory accuracy at both locations.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to verify cleanliness and proper storage conditions.
- Track and document tool inventory, condition, and location in the ERP system.
- Coordinate and schedule daily tool deliveries and returns using the company vehicle.
- Inspect tools before delivery to confirm they are clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate records of tool usage, returns, replacements, and property classifications.
- Prioritize daily tasks and respond to tooling needs with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with Managers and Leads to plan tool requirements and delivery schedules.
- Work effectively with production teams, auditors, and leadership.
- Provide logistical support to minimize production downtime.
- Report on stock levels and the condition of spare materials and tooling.
- Operate forklifts and aerial order pickers safely and in accordance with company training and procedures.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Handle all tooling related documentation and information confidentially in accordance with customer and government requirements.
- Conduct scheduled tooling audits at both locations to verify accuracy and compliance.
- Work with internal auditors, customer auditors, and government auditors to complete required tooling audits and provide supporting documentation.
- Ensure adherence to internal, customer, and regulatory standards including AS9100 and ISO
14001. - Analyze audit findings and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare clear, accurate audit reports for management.
- Perform routine checks of the company delivery vehicle and coordinate necessary repairs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tool cleanliness, equipment longevity, and facility organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
