CNC Turn Operator - 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Join Stanley Black & Decker’s Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM)/EA Patten division in Columbia, CT for a 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm) CNC Turn Operator role. This position focuses on machining aerospace tubes, ducts, and detailed components in a highly collaborative, tech‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to machine aerospace tubes, ducts, and details.
- Perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
- Translate instructions into computer commands for the machines to perform the correct function.
- Perform offset adjustments.
- Prepare and load raw material and parts.
- Prepare a test run and set machines to complete full cycles.
- Supervise machines while cycling, making any necessary adjustments.
- Inspect and measure finished products using calipers, height gauges, and micrometers.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with CNC machining; aerospace experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with 3‑ or 4‑axis or similar CNC multi‑axis machines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets.
- Experience with precision measuring tools.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills.
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
