To support the growth and development of new hires, this position is eligible for a 90 Day Evaluation that includes a pay increase if key performance indicators are met.

Scope

Perform required inspections and complete quality department documentation, including FAIs. Support Program Managers and production workers with quality issues. Program & utilize CMM equipment and evaluate results. Conduct tool calibrations and assist with disposition of other quality decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
  • Communicate with departments to initiate the FAIR.
  • Ensure the FAIR is prepared in an organized, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Perform dimensional inspection of parts and tools using measuring devices such as pin gauges, hand calipers, CMM, and micrometers.
  • Prepare and complete daily work tasks.
  • Monitor and produce product quality, identify quality problems, recommend solutions, verify implementation, and control nonconforming products until corrected.
  • Work with chemicals such as alcohol and acrylics.
  • Test products and complete all documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors, suggest procedural changes, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and report safety hazards.
  • Handle hazardous waste per Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager instructions.
  • Report all accidents, near misses, and safety concerns. Use appropriate PPE and participate in safety training.

Essential Knowledge and Skills
  • General math skills and understanding of mechanical measuring concepts.
  • Use of hand measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, etc.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Internet, Email).
  • Knowledge of AS9100C and AS9102 standards.
  • Knowledge of FAI.
  • Good English communication and mathematical skills.
  • Good vision, color discrimination, depth perception, clear speech.
  • Perform routine tasks.
  • Teamplayer, adaptable to changing environment.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Work up to 10 hours a day and flexible for overtime.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds, bending, leaning, sitting or standing during shift.
  • Cross train to other positions across both buildings.
  • Safely work with chemicals, physical or biological agents.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Previous manufacturing and/or aerospace industry experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation varies based on location, role, skill set, and experience. TTM provides a compensation range for roles that may be hired in New York, California, and Colorado.
