We are currently seeking a Production Machinist for our client in the Design and Manufacturing domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Description:

The Production Machinist must have 5+ years of experience.

• Set up and operate manual and NC milling machines, and grinders to fabricate precision components, tolerances to 0.005mm
• Interpret technical drawings and tooling sheets to ensure accurate machining
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
• Strong math skills and problem‑solving skills
• Conduct thorough inspections using precision measuring equipment, height gauges, micrometers, and calipers, to verify conformance to specifications
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize equipment performance
• Perform rework and modification of production parts including removal of broken screws and surface repairs
• Great care in attention to detail and cosmetic quality is required
• Ability to work independently without significant supervision
• Good work ethic and ability to concentrate and complete assignments within expected time
• Experience with manual and NC lathes is a plus
