Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Care - Part Time First Shift

The registered professional nurse is responsible for utilizing job skills to effectively carry out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation and time management. They are responsible for quality communication, teamwork and leadership/professionalism. They also direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

• Provide RN II level care to assigned population.
• Complete yearly mandatory competencies and any unit specific competencies identified by the Director/Designee.
• Assume responsibility as Charge Nurse, PI Activity and department initiatives.
• Communicate and share information with Director/Designee and co-workers from unit or hospital committee.
• Solicit and validate patient/family satisfaction and participate in peer review for unit.

• Association Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) is required; BSN is preferred.
• Minimum of 1872 full-time or part-time hours (936 if hold BSN) of RN experience and completion of a performance evaluation.
• RN License is required and must be eligible to practice pending licensure in Virginia.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) – AHA approved required. New hires must have AHA certification prior to orientation.
• Competent to provide care using the nursing process.
