House Supervisor Part Time Sharon Hospital

Overview

Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care. • Oversee day-to-day operations within span of control, resolving problems as necessary, and ensuring that operations are efficient, compliant, safe, and of the highest possible quality.
• Optimize management structures and workflows within span of control to continually improve quality and efficiency.
• Provide oversight of patient care on all units to ensure quality of care and service including; facilitation timely admissions, participating in purposeful patient rounding and collaboration with clinical nurses, physicians and other key care providers.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary and interdepartmental communication for effective patient focused care.
• Identify staffing needs and direct resources in accordance with patient census/activity in collaboration with Staffing Coordinator to assure adequate staffing.
• Work in collaboration with CNO and Nursing Directors to support and drive nursing initiatives and goals.
• Participate in performance management including annual performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures as required.
• Comply with all Health Quest and affiliate policies and ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulation. Regular attendance at committee meetings as required.
• Maintain contemporary professional knowledge and education.
• Demonstrates regular, reliable and predictable attendance; performs other duties as required.

• BSN preferred; ASN accepted
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity
• CT RN License
• Current BLS, ACLS, & PALS is required by the start of orientation
