For Over 60 years, New Canaan Veterinary Hospital has been a family-owned facility serving New Canaan, Wilton, Norwalk, Stamford, and Pound Ridge. We offer a full range of services from routine examinations, preventative care for companion pets, routine & advanced dentistry for dogs and cats, dental digital x-ray, full lab on premises, digital ultrasound, and digital X-rays. Join a supportive team in a high-end, modern environment. Pet Groomers will perform top quality grooms in a timely manner. Groomers should have current grooming experience and be able to consistently provide pups and parents with a high level of gentle and professional care. Job duties may include but not limited to:

• Clean the dog's teeth
• Maintain an upbeat attitude
• Calm an anxious dog
• Ensure company policies are being followed
• Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
• Shampoo and wash a dog's hair or fur
• Create a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners
• Cut or shave a dog's hair or fur

High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Proficient at Grooming
• Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a professional manner
  
  Calming presence to pets
• Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
• Great communication skills
• Ability to work on a team
