Position: P1/P2 Licensed (Journeyman)

Job Summary

Griswold Plumbing, a family‑owned plumbing and water treatment company, is seeking a licensed plumber (P‑1 or P‑2) to join our team. The right candidate will be professional, have a knack for solving plumbing problems, and possess residential customer and sales experience. This full‑time position requires lifting 75 pounds, passing a background check and drug test, and a current Connecticut license.

Strong Experience In The Following

• General residential sales, service and installation of plumbing systems

• Hot water heater repair and replacement

• Repair and replacement of faucets, tubs, and toilets

• Drain cleaning with conventional sewer machines

• Well water systems, repair and replacement

• Bathroom remodeling, house re‑piping

• Water treatment systems, service and installation

• Experience with Jobber software (a plus)

Residential Service Technician Responsibilities

• Advise and educate clients on home water and plumbing systems, e.g., well pumps, water treatment systems and water quality; make recommendations, prepare estimates, and close sales.
• Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems in residential homes.
• Effectively troubleshoot and resolve plumbing problems.
• Install plumbing equipment such as water heaters, water treatment systems, faucets, and other common residential plumbing systems.
• Ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

Residential Service Technician Qualifications

• A current Connecticut license (P‑1 or P‑2) (required).
• At least 2 years of residential plumbing, including sales and customer service; well and water treatment experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• High School diploma or GED (required).
• All applicants will undergo pre‑employment drug screens and background checks.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Professionalism and attention to detail (must).

Expectations

• Position is full‑time, hourly; salary range $55,000 – $88,000, commensurate with experience.
• Company is based in Westbrook, CT.
• Work hours:
  
  Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm.
• No on‑call or weekend commitment.
