Overview

Team Lyman continues as we are looking for person(s) to be part of a tremendous opportunity to specifically coach beginner and intermediate golfers. This opportunity ideally begins in early‑April and is a position that lasts through late October. The role could be extended to a year‑round position but only if an opportunity within the full‑time ranks opens during the course of the year.

  • Home of the largest women's clinic program in country in "Golf Fore Women".

  • Compensation includes a competitive lesson commission structure for both private and group instruction, base pay (hourly), and potential for additional income through club fitting.

Experience Required
  • Class A PGA/LPGA Professional Preferred.
  • PGM Student, PGA Associate or LPGA Apprentice will be given strong consideration.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the Director of Golf to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding market.
  • Provides golf instruction to private students.
  • Assist in coaching the Golf Fore Women program.
  • Head Coach for spring/summer/fall PGA Jr. League teams.
  • Coach spring/summer junior camps alongside other PGA/LPGA coaches.
  • Provides training and development to other instructors as directed and as needed.
  • Assists in the supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout.
  • Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and be able to integrate the use of training aids, video and club fitting into the facilities instructional programs when necessary.
  • Participate in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program.

  • Perform some of the opening and closing duties of the instruction program as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • No pro shop attendant time asked.
  • Position is ideally from mid‑April through mid‑October but this is flexible.
  • 30-40 hours per week with the ability to go to 50 hours in prime time of season (late June through end of August).
  • Only asked to work one of two weekend days.
  • Encouraged to take short time off in August.
  • Able to utilize Trackman technology.

  • Encouraged to play CT PGA/Open tournaments throughout the season.
  • Ability to utilize facility for 12 months a year as Lyman has three indoor Trackman 4 launch monitors for usage.
  • Ability to play golf complimentary on our 45 holes of golf as well as two practice facilities.
  • Cost on all hard goods and soft goods with possibility of PUD.
