General Manager @ Control Technologies, LLC | Level 2 Thermographer, Drive Specialist, Drive Expert
Control Technologies is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our expanding team and help support a culture of safety across all divisions. The Safety Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with all Company safety policies, minimizing risks and promoting health and wellbeing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Conduct new hire orientations and other safety training courses for new and existing employees.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and help perform root-cause analysis.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of training, certifications and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with Safety Manager and other Management to uphold safety standards.
- Promote safety awareness through behavior and lead initiatives to improve safety culture.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Support safety-related training initiatives.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform duties as assigned.
- Safety presence at client sites to oversee construction and/or equipment installation.
- Minimum of 3 years’ safety experience in the field of Construction/Industrial.
- Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA
70E, ANSI and other safety related organizations. - Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet and other management software.
- Strong experience in industrial mechanical and electrical work.
SKILLS:
- Recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective actions.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated and takes initiative to promote safe work culture.
- Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust and/or loud noises
- Work environment involves exposure to construction-related hazards and physical risks
- Light physical effort required to handle average weight objects up to 35 pounds.
