Safety Coordinator

Control Technologies is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our expanding team and help support a culture of safety across all divisions. The Safety Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with all Company safety policies, minimizing risks and promoting health and wellbeing.

• Conduct new hire orientations and other safety training courses for new and existing employees.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and help perform root-cause analysis.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of training, certifications and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with Safety Manager and other Management to uphold safety standards.
• Promote safety awareness through behavior and lead initiatives to improve safety culture.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Support safety-related training initiatives.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform duties as assigned.
• Safety presence at client sites to oversee construction and/or equipment installation.

• Minimum of 3 years’ safety experience in the field of Construction/Industrial.
• Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA
  70E, ANSI and other safety related organizations.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet and other management software.
• Strong experience in industrial mechanical and electrical work.

• Recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective actions.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and takes initiative to promote safe work culture.

• Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust and/or loud noises
• Work environment involves exposure to construction-related hazards and physical risks
• Light physical effort required to handle average weight objects up to 35 pounds.
• Extended periods of time standing and walking.
