POSITION DETAILS JOB PURPOSEPrepare material to sew by marking the correct pattern and then cutting the fabric according to the marked pattern.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Match pieces of the pattern to fabric for cutting
- Accurately mark patterns on fabric for cutting
- Accurately cut fabric pieces once marked for sewing
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS3+ Years of reading and understanding patterns and yardstick measurements.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSExperience in furniture manufacturing preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSLess than High School
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or Equivalent
REQUIRED SKILLS- Must be able to read a ruler.
- Must be able to accurately use scissors, both electric and hand scissors.
- Must be quality-minded.
- Must be able to work in a fast–paced environment.
- Must be able to accurately trace and cut patterns.
- Must be a Team Player.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
- Must have strong communication skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing in English.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand to cut patterns on a tall cutting table.
- Must be able to walk/stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant that is heated and cooled.
- Must have good vision.
- Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close-toe/close‑heel shoes when required.
- Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
