Production Project Engineer

• Lead and execute manufacturing improvement projects focused on process optimization, productivity, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify operational challenges and implement sustainable, data-driven solutions.
• Analyze production and performance data to uncover opportunities for efficiency gains, throughput improvement, and capacity expansion.
• Support the deployment of Lean Manufacturing principles, process controls, and equipment upgrades to improve operational reliability.
• Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Contribute to workforce development by supporting training initiatives, coaching team members, and promoting employee engagement in improvement activities.
• Partner with the Plant Manager on operational planning, budgeting, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Participate in leadership development programs and continuous learning opportunities.
• Source and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors, comparing cost, quality, and technical capability.

Pay rate: $60K-$75K per year

• Demonstrated success in process improvement, project management, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate data into actionable improvement strategies.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
• Proven adaptability, organizational skills, and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Strong people skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience in plastic injection molding environments is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or process engineering role.
