Fabric and Leather Material Handler
SalaryNon-exempt – Full Time - Hourly
Weekly HoursMonday – Friday 6a – 3:30p. Overtime as needed.
Position Details Job PurposeEnsures fabric and leather are stored properly. Also, keep the required specified material in the cutting areas in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities- Keep fabric and leather storage area neat and organized.
- Maintain correct fabric and leather at the machines and cutting tables per the schedule.
- Works closely with receiving and manufacturing.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

Qualifications Minimum Experience Requirements1+ years’ experience in receiving.
Preferred Experience RequirementsExperience in furniture manufacturing preferred.
Minimum Education RequirementsLess than High School.
Preferred Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.
Required Skills- Must be able to read a production ticket and material tag.
- Must be able to work safely at a fast pace.
- Must have good math skills.
- Must be a Team Player.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
- Must have strong communication skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing in English.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to obtain Forklift/Platform/Order Picker certification.
- Must be able to work at heights of up to 35ft.
- Must be able to walk/stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant which is heated and cooled.
- Must have good vision.
- Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close-toe/close-heal shoes when required.
- Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
