Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, cranes, loaders, and graders. This role supports construction, roadwork, earthmoving, and related heavy-duty operations.

Minimum 3 Years Of Experience Required

Class A CDL Preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate machinery for tasks including digging, lifting, grading, and material handling.
• Assist with clearing debris, leveling terrain, and preparing work areas.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance, report mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
• Move equipment to and from job sites as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs of work activities, maintenance records, and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience operating heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with equipment functions, routine maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various conditions.

Preferred Certifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – preferred for equipment transport.
• OSHA or Heavy Equipment Operator Certification – a plus.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud noise and heavy machinery.
• 100% travel – must be willing to travel to job sites as needed.
