Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a growing oil and gas services organization in Conroe, Texas on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with accounting experience who brings recent Net Suite experience and is comfortable handling both payables and receivables in a deadline-driven setting. The position offers the opportunity to support a busy finance team with accurate transaction processing, invoicing, and day-to-day accounting coordination.

Responsibilities:

- Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable activity in Net Suite with a high level of accuracy.

- Review financial information from Quick Books and enter data correctly into Net Suite to maintain reliable accounting records.

- Handle payable workflows for a large vendor base, ensuring invoices are entered and tracked in a timely manner.

- Administer receivable transactions involving a smaller number of invoices with significant dollar values.

- Support customer billing activity across multimillion-dollar invoicing volume while maintaining completeness and precision.

- Partner with the accounting team during ongoing system-related accounting work and help keep financial data organized and current.

- Communicate with internal team members to clarify transaction details and resolve accounting questions efficiently.

- Contribute to additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed to support daily operations. Requirements - Recent hands-on experience using Net Suite is required.

- Proven background in both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Strong accuracy in data entry and financial record management.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet established deadlines.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal stakeholders.

- Experience with billing, account reconciliation, and general accounting support.

- Working knowledge of Quick Books is preferred.

- Prior experience in oil and gas, energy, industrial, or service-based environments is a plus.
