- Teach courses in Drama at various times and locations per institutional needs
- Continuously improve instruction quality by adopting innovative methods and delivery techniques
- Develop and use a syllabus for each course or laboratory within departmental guidelines
- Plan and use teaching methods that support diverse students and learning styles
- Evaluate students’ progress and provide timely feedback
- Submit required college reports and forms
- Review and recommend student learning materials
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community
- Provide access to students through office hours, electronic communication and other methods
- Use professional development and institutional service activities in consultation with the Dean
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- The work is sedentary, with occasional walking, standing, bending, light carrying, or driving. No special physical demands are required.
- Uses PC workstation, calculator, phone, and other standard equipment in a Windows environment
- Interacts with internal and external contacts as needed
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled classroom or lab with minimal hazards
- Hours vary with class schedule; instructors must be available outside scheduled class times
- MA or MFA in Drama or Theatre, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Drama
- Demonstrated experience in technical theatre, especially in lighting and/or scenic design
Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. Expected salary will be based on experience and education and determined by the Office of Human Resources during the hiring process.
