Part-Time Recreation Leader

ASSIGNED TO OSCAR JOHNSON JR ENRICHMENT & RECREATION CENTER JOB SUMMARY

With supervision, assists in delivering programs and events directly to the public. Assists with set up and take down for programs and events, performs assigned duties and cursory clean‑up of facility as needed, follows all City of Conroe and Center policies and procedures, and is responsible for the care and safety of participants.

• Knowledge of cash handling.
• Experience in working with children.
• Experience in communication and customer service.
• Experience with public programs and events.

Minimum age of 16 years.

Ability to obtain relevant certifications within time period designated by supervisor.

The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, talking, visual acuity and walking.
