Sustaining Mechanical Engineer; m​/f​/x

Our subsidiary BAUER Equipment America represents BAUER Maschinen GmbH in the USA and is looking for a Sustaining Mechanical Engineer (m/f/x) for its location in Conroe, Texas, USA.

• Provide engineering support for released products,investigating and resolving field, customer, and manufacturing issues while maintaining product reliability, safety, and performance
• Design and improve mechanical and structural components, including creating and revising 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation to enhance product durability, manufacturability, and serviceability
• Lead product change management activities,including ECRs/ECOs, configuration control, and implementation of design improvements across product lines
• Drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing warranty, field, and manufacturing data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering,Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Field Service to support product performance, resolve technical issues, and execute high-impact improvement projects
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or as deemed sufficient by management
• 5+ years of mechanical design and/or sustaining engineering experience in heavy equipment,industrial machinery, or capital equipment manufacturing
• Experience with drilling equipment and hands-on field exposure strongly preferred
• Strong mechanicaldesign background with demonstrated strength in structural design, working knowledge of hydraulic systems and of electrical and controls engineering as well as solid knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures
• Proficiency in CADdesign software required (SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD), experience withPDM/PLM and ERP systems preferred
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing, customer, and field locations as required
