• Review and complete appropriate paperwork for each patient, including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
• Transport patients to and from their rooms and the emergency department.
• Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Position patients on the examination table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified body areas requested by the physician.
• Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet patient care goals.

• Graduate of an accredited MRI Technologist program.
• Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
• CT registry is preferred.
• MRI registry required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital‑imaging department is required.
• 1 year experience in CT or MRI preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
