- Review and complete appropriate paperwork for each patient, including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
- Transport patients to and from their rooms and the emergency department.
- Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
- Position patients on the examination table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified body areas requested by the physician.
- Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet patient care goals.
- Graduate of an accredited MRI Technologist program.
- Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
- CT registry is preferred.
- MRI registry required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital‑imaging department is required.
- 1 year experience in CT or MRI preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
