Pharmacy Assistant / Tech

Job

Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.

Reports to:

East Central Kentucky Market Director of Pharmacy

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent – Required

Licenses:
Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy in good standing and PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Pharmacy Intern

Certifications:

N/A

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackages bulk medications.
