Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.
Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echo cardiographic studies.
To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
Responsibilities- Prepare equipment ensuring that it is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
- Problem solve equipment failure and imaging quality issues and contact the service representative regarding equipment problems
- Ensure that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are taken to maintain infection control standards
- Complete all quality checks and maintain equipment logs
- Complete all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is stocked with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
- Actively participate with patient testing, performing routine, non‑routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests
We are offering a $10K sign‑on retention bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements- Two (2) years related experience
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire
- Associates Other or
- One year certificate from a health‑related program in a related medical field, which includes a seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound
The Woodlands Hospital is a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center, and Texas Children’s Hospital.

$35.62 – $52.99 per hour
